Trade Policy Review: Cambodia

The first review of the trade policies and practices of Cambodia takes place on 1 and 3 November 2011. The basis for the review is a report by the WTO Secretariat and a report by the Government of Cambodia.

The following documents are available:

A detailed report written independently by the WTO Secretariat.

Secretariat report

  • By chapter Contents and summary observations Economic environment Trade and investment regimes Trade policies and practices by measure Trade policies by sector Aid for trade Appendix tables
  • Revisions and corrigenda (may be issued approx 2 weeks after the meeting)

Government report
A policy statement by the government of the member under review.

From the meeting
The Secretariat and Government reports are discussed by the WTO’s full membership in the Trade Policy Review Body (TPRB).

Background

Trade Policy Reviews are an exercise, mandated in the WTO agreements, in which member countries’ trade and related policies are examined and evaluated at regular intervals. Significant developments that may have an impact on the global trading system are also monitored. All WTO members are subject to review, with the frequency of review depending on the country’s size.

  • The Philippines: 22 and 24 November 2011
  • Thailand: 28 and 30 November 2011
